This is a list of the known issues with the LPC32x0 Linux port. This list is updated as issues are fixed and patches become available or as new issues are found. ****************************************************************************** Issue: I2S audio fails to play, squeaking, or audio stuttering This issues occurs when playing back an audio stream in ALSA or OSS emulation. In some cases, audio will play, but in other cases, there is no audio or just portions of audio. This will be fixed in the next Linux patch available at the end of March 2009. Workaround: None ****************************************************************************** Issue: I2S record doesn't work This will be fixed in the next Linux patch available at the end of March 2009. Workaround: None ****************************************************************************** Issue: Linux appears to 'lock up' during boot During the Linux boot sequence, the kernel appears to lock up during kernel initialization. This appears to happen during USB host/device initialization. This issue has been traced to a clock setup function and will be fixed in the next patch available at the end of March 2009. Workaround: To work around the issue for now, set the NORMAL/SERVICE jumper (Jumper JP21) on 1305.2 or 1305.3 carrier boards) to the service boot position. ****************************************************************************** Issue: Ethernet driver crashes when brought down (ifconfig eth0 down) Although this crash occurs, there seems to be no real impact to the system. Ethernet and the rest of the system will continue working after the crash. This has been traced to an un-necessary lock/unlock sequence in the ethernet driver reset function and will be fixed in the next patch available at the end of March 2009. Workaround: None ****************************************************************************** Issue: Touchscreen device doesn't work with TSLIB The touchscreen device seems to work fine with Qt/e, but not TSLIB. TSLIB seems to require a pressure event from the touchscreen driver. This event type will be added in the next patch available at the end of March 2009. Workaround: None ****************************************************************************** Issue: LCD turns off after about 10 minutes The LCD displays turns off after about 10 minutes into a kernel boot. This issue will be fixed in the next patch available at the end of March 2009. Workaround: None
