Future Designs, Inc. USB to Multi-Protocol Converter Kit (USB-MPC-KIT)

The USB to Multi-Protocol Converter Kit is a 3rd-party quick start kit that allows you to communicate with I2C and MDIO interfaces. Begin bi-directional communications in only a few minutes with the kit's USB-MPC Windows 2000/XP software and USB-MPC plug that connects directly into a standard PC USB Port.

The USB-MPC software supports MDIO 22 and 45 standards and I2C with the ability to add additional I2C or MDIO devices with the software's Device Descriptor Files (DDF). Using the main program window, you can select an I2C or MDIO peripheral. Once a device is selected, a device dialog window is used to communicate directly to the selected device. The USB-MPC-KIT also features the Sequencer, which reads ASCII files that allow the user to setup multiple read/write instructions to be executed in any defined sequence.

The full kit includes the USB-MPC unit, USB-MPC Windows Software, 18" I2C Cable, MDIO Cable, and USB Cable.

The USB-MPC unit includes the following key components:

• 100KHz and 400KHz I2C support
• 1MHz to 5MHz MDIO support
• Low voltage I2C support
• MDIO support for IEEE 802/802.3 serial communication using Clause 22 and Clause 45
