IAR Systems KickStart Kit for LPC2138

Introduction
The IAR Systems KickStart Kit for LPC2138 is a 3rd-party development tool that contains a complete hardware and software evaluation environment for the NXP LPC2138 microcontroller. It allows you to design, develop, implement, and test your ARM applications on the LPC2138 chip from NXP. The basic version of the KickStart Kit contains a development board and a suite of software development tools including a kickstart version of IAR Embedded Workbench® for ARM and a 20-state version of visualSTATE® for ARM. A bundled version of the kit also contains the J-Link USB-JTAG interface adapter.
Whether you are a novice or seasoned developer, you will find the kit a tremendous time-saver with its programming examples and flash programming tools available from within the IAR Embedded Workbench.

Key Components

The development board has the following key components:
  • NXP LPC2138 microcontroller
  • Two UARTs with DB9 connectors
  • Potentiometer connected to the ADC
  • Two buttons
  • One LED
  • 2 x 16 LCD
  • 20-pin JTAG interface connector
  • 16x21 through-hole prototyping area
  • Ready-to-run code example
The development board connects to your PC using the serial port (for flash download) or the JTAG interface. Debugging is supported via the JTAG interface using the IAR Systems J-Link USB-JTAG adapter and Embedded Workbench for ARM.
