P82B96 Dual Bi-Directional Bus Buffer
The P82B96 allows bi-directional signaling at speeds up to 400kHz.
It provides a true buffer functionality supporting logic levels from 2V to 15V and bus impedance 10 times lower than normal I2C levels (around 200 ohms).
It is designed for long distance signaling, multi-point applications, and opto-isolation of bus segments in applications such as power supplies with different ground planes.
The device supports multiple-master bus arbitration and contention.
The P82B96 is multi-directional and requires no direction control.
Operational voltage supply is 2V to 15V with 18V-tolerant I/Os.
The operational temperature range is -40oC to +85oC.
P82B715 I2C Bus Extender
The P82B715 allows bi-directional signaling over wiring capacitance loads up to 3000pF and at speeds up to 400kHz.
At normal I2C logic voltage levels, it transforms the impedance of the wiring by a factor 10.
Thus, 3000pF of wiring appears as 300pF loading on the I2C bus.
The P82B715 does not afford any isolation nor provide logic voltage level translation.
The device supports multiple-master bus arbitration and contention.
The P82B715 is multi-directional and requires no direction control.
Operational voltage supply is 3V to 12V, but the chip can work with any logic signals less than its supply.
Logic levels at its I/Os are set by the attached ICs and are independent of the chip supply.
Operational temperature range is -40oC to +85oC.
