Introduction
Integrated Crystal Oscillator in Tiny Packages
NXP Semiconductors' 74LVC1GX04 crystal oscillator driver is the industry's first multi-function PicoGate device for crystal oscillator functions.
By combining driver and unbuffered inverter functionality into a single, ultra-compact PicoGate package, the 74LVC1GX04 helps reduce product size, simplify system design, and cut time-to-market.
Crystal-controlled oscillator circuits are widely used in clock generators due to their excellent frequency stability and wide operating frequency range.
The increased integration of the 74LVC1GX04 delivers the additional advantages of lower power dissipation and stable operation over a wide range of temperatures.
The new device also boasts a wide supply voltage (1.65 to 5.5V) and symmetrical 24mA output drive capability.
Its optimized design enables its re-use in a host of applications irrespective of system load.
As the first multi-function logic device of its kind, the 74LVC1GX04 is another demonstration of how
NXP Semiconductors is driving innovation in established markets to provide solutions that meet customers' needs.
It is supplied in a choice of 6-pin PicoGate packages: the SOT363 (2.0 x 2.1mm) or the new SOT457 (2.75 x 2.9mm).
