LCD graphic/matrix panel displays

Graphic/matrix panel displays have individually addressable pixels in row and column configurations. They are capable of displaying anything within their available resolution.

Graphic/matrix panel displays are driven by graphics LCD drivers. These drivers have capabilities to drive large rows and columns for rich displays. Generating and controlling the display, however, takes a high amount of overhead compared to other types of liquid crystal displays. This trade-off may be necessary in applications where display size is limited and very different content needs to be displayed at different times.
