AUC family overview

Introduction
NXP Semiconductors announces the world's lowest-operating voltage logic family. The AUC family is optimized to operate at 1.8 volts with higher operating frequencies and with lower power consumption. The devices are fully specified for partial power-down applications using IOFF. The IOFF circuitry disables the output, preventing damaging current from flowing back through the device when it is powered down.
New high-performance applications will benefit from the AUC family's improved speed performance and reduced power consumption. Existing applications will easily migrate to the AUC family due to its mix-voltage mode capability.
Applications
  • Telecommunications equipment
  • Portable applications (PDAs, cell phones, etc.)
  • High performance workstations and laptop computers
  • Low-voltage applications (single cell)
Features
  • Less than 2ns maximum propagation delay at VCC = 1.8V
  • Wide supply voltage range VCC = 0.8V to 3.6V
  • 8mA drive capability
  • Supports mixed-voltage systems
  • Compatible with legacy devices
  • CMOS low power consumption
  • High noise immunity
  • Input/Output tolerant up to 3.3V
  • Complies with JEDEC standard - JESD76 (1.65 - 1.95 Volt)
  • IOFF supports partial power-down mode operation
