SC16C85x enhanced UARTs
Introduction
NXP's SC16C85x series of UARTs have enhanced features ideal for low-power applications requiring high-speed and high-data throughput.
All feature 128 byte-deep FIFOs, 5Mbps baud rates, and IrDA encoders/decoders.
These products can operate as low as 1.8 volts, have Intel/Motorola or VLIO interfaces, and can support concurrent write (dual UARTS).
Additionally, a high-resolution clock prescaler allows a non-standard UART clock to be used.
The SC16C85x series features a UART software reset saving a hardware resource pin.
